UTI Prevention
Reviewed by the Nimbera editorial team · Last updated May 2026
Urinary tract infections are bacterial infections (most commonly E. coli) affecting the bladder and urethra. These remedies are for prevention of recurrence in people with a history of UTIs - they are not treatments for an active infection.
See a doctor immediately for any suspected active UTI (burning urination, frequent urge, cloudy or bloody urine, fever, or back pain). These remedies are not a substitute for antibiotic treatment of an existing infection. Also see a doctor if you have more than 3 UTIs per year.
