Headaches & Migraines

Reviewed by the Nimbera editorial team · Last updated May 2026

Headaches range from tension-type (tight, pressure-like pain) to migraines (severe, often one-sided, throbbing pain with sensitivity to light and sound). They are among the most common neurological conditions globally. Natural approaches can reduce frequency and severity, particularly for tension and migraine types, but recurring or severe headaches require medical evaluation to exclude serious causes.

When to see a doctor

Seek emergency care immediately for a sudden severe headache described as the worst of your life, headache with fever and stiff neck, or headache following head trauma. See a doctor if headaches are increasing in frequency, changing in character, accompanied by neurological symptoms (visual changes, weakness, confusion), or if you are using pain relievers more than 10 days per month.
