Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early despite adequate time in bed
Insomnia lasting more than 3 months, significant daytime impairment, symptoms of sleep apnea (loud snoring, gasping), or insomnia alongside depression or anxiety should be evaluated. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is the gold-standard first-line treatment.
