Vitamin B Complex
Reviewed by the Nimbera editorial team · Last updated May 2026
How to use
Take one B-complex capsule daily with a meal. Look for a formula providing at least B1 (thiamine) 100 mg, B6 (pyridoxine) 50 mg, and B12 (cobalamin) 250 mcg. Allow 4-8 weeks to see full benefit.
How it works
B vitamins support peripheral nerve conduction and neuromuscular transmission. Deficiencies - common in older adults and those on diuretics or metformin - impair motor nerve function and increase susceptibility to spontaneous muscle firing.
Where to buy
Pharmacies and health food stores - brands such as Jarrow Formulas B-Right, Solgar B-Complex 100, or Nature's Way B-100
Typical cost: $10-$20 for a 60-day supply
Safety notes
High-dose B6 (above 100 mg/day long-term) can cause peripheral neuropathy - choose moderate-dose formulas. B vitamins are water-soluble and generally well tolerated at standard doses.
